William Belmont Jessup of Poipu and formerly of Princeville and Reno, Nevada, Passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on November 29, 2013 at the age of 79. He was born in Oakland, California on February 23, 1934. He was a USMC fighter pilot, Hughes Aircraft Co. test pilot, and papaya grower and distributor.

Preceded in death by his Parents, William J. and Matilda Ann Jessup; wife, Linda Jessup. He is survived by: sons, William J. “Jay” (Jana) of California; Mark C. (Jennifer) of Oregon; daughter, Colleen (Sean) Kennedy of Australia; sister, Jeri Coppa-Knudson (Bill) of Nevada; care giver, Penny Jessup of Kauai, nine grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations may be sent to Kauai Hospice or the Kauai Lifeguard Association.

Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Koloa, Kauai.
